Born in Wheaton, Maryland and spending much of her childhood in Alabama and West Virginia, Robin now lives in western Oregon. She and her husband share their Funny Farm with a variety of critters. Robin works nearly full time as an illustrator, writer and photographer.

Since 1985 she has written and/or illustrated scores of picture books, early readers and activity books for kids. Her favorite subject is anything to do with the natural world but she also writes articles and biographies about people.
