Lotta Jansdotter moved from Stockholm, Sweden to San Francisco, CA. nine years ago. As a child, she especially took to drawing and has always enjoyed being creative. Now, in her own studio, she works as a surface designer. Her technique involves silkscreening onto textiles or stationary. She has recently undertaken commissions for the Japanese market to work with glassware, clothing and linens. Lotta also has her own feature in a Japanese publication.

Her sources of inspiration include nature, and the organic forms that she encounters in her urban surroundings. Color often inspires her designs too.

"I try to experiment with colors... a lot mixing and matching," she says.

In the future, Lotta is looking forward to creating custom wedding invitations and her own catalog of products.
