Eric Temple has been a film and video maker since he was a high school student back in the 1970's. A native of California, Temple graduated from Northern Arizona University and began a 17 year career as a producer/director for television stations across the country. In 1992 he formed his own production company, Canyon Productions, in Bethesda, Maryland. Temple has since produced and directed the award-winning PBS documentary Edward Abbey: A Voice in the Wilderness, co-directed the PBS documentary The Mystery of Chaco Canyon, and produced Hearts on the Line, a concert documentary for singer/songwriter Tom Russell.
Eric is currently working on two new documentaries... a historical documentary on authentic cowboy culture called California Bloodlines and a documentary on spirituality and peace called Voices of Truth. Temple is also a lifelong still photographer, specializing in the landscapes of the West.
