Charles Philip Cangialosi was originally trained as a surgeon. He developed his skills while photographing situations in which a non-medical professional would be unwelcome. Now primarily a natural history photographer, he favors subjects that require tremendous patience, stillness and sensitivity to the environment. He approaches his photography discretely and allows events to unfold as if he were invisible to the subject.

Charles Cangialosi is a member of the National Wildlife Photographers Association, the National Press Photographers Association, and other trade associations. His work has been featured in numerous natural history and conservation publications.
