Annalisa Balestrieri lives in Milan, Italy. She earned her degree in Italian literature from Milan State University.

Since 2006, she has written and/or illustrated three books. In August 2008 she published her first illustrated book for kids, "Mary and the Little Lamb," a bilingual (Italian-English) story. You can find the same characters of the book in her blog for children.
