I grew up in coastal New England and attended Umass/Dartmouth, earning a BFA in illustration in 1987. I have lived in different areas of the country, which has provided me with a variety of subjects. In recent years, the Hawaiian Islands have shown me warmth, culture, and endless inspiration. I am always fascinated with what nature composes for us. I have worked in many media and styles, but find the natural appearance of watercolor to be the highest compliment to the subjects themselves. I like to paint in an exacting style, but, with a degree of whimsy, happiness...aloha.
